Traffic assumes 35% of the player cap online on average across the month; change it under Assumptions in the calculator.
Minimum (Vanilla, 10 players): 1 vCPU (2.5+ GHz); RAM: 2 GB DDR4
Recommended (Modded, 24-32 players): 2 vCPU (3.5+ GHz); RAM: 4-6 GB DDR4/DDR5
Hardcore/RP (64+ players): 4 vCPU (4.5+ GHz / Ryzen 9); RAM: 8-12 GB DDR5
Vanilla, 24 players: 4 cores @ 4.0+ GHz, 8 GB RAM, 120 GB SSD
Vanilla, 50 players: 4-6 cores @ 4.0+ GHz, 12 GB RAM, 250 GB SSD
Smartly Dressed Games' own documentation and the official Unturned wiki cover setup and ports but publish no CPU/RAM/disk sizing numbers, so all hardware figures here come from third-party hosting guides, which disagree by up to roughly 2x at the same player count. Modded servers, especially with large workshop maps, vary widely in requirements and can need significantly more RAM and disk than the vanilla figures shown.

Game server hosting: every game we size, the protection each one gets, and the plan for it.
DDoS protection is on every Clouduxe plan. How Prism handles game traffic.
About 2 GB for 8 players and 13.5 GB for 100, before mods & plugins (workshop/rocketmod/openmod). Fitted to a hosting guide's RAM-by-player-count table (source 2: 1-8 players 2 GB, 8-16 players 3 GB, 16-24 players 4 GB, 24+ players 5-6 GB); base 1 GB plus 125 MB/player reproduces those numbers almost exactly at 8, 16 and 24 players. Other guides (sources 3, 4) give higher figures at the same player counts (up to 8 GB at 24 players), so treat this as the lower-middle of a wide sourced range; the mods multiplier accounts for workshop content and plugin frameworks like RocketMod/OpenMod pushing it toward the higher end.
2 for 8 players, 8 for 100. The server is single-thread heavy, so the clock speed of one core matters more than how many cores it has. Sourced guides range from 1 vCPU at 10 players up to 4-8 cores at 50-100+ players (sources 3, 4), all emphasizing high clock speed (3.5 to 4.5+ GHz) over core count. 2 base cores plus one extra core roughly every 16 players lands in the middle of that spread, e.g. about 3 cores at 24 players versus sourced figures of 2 to 4.
About 150 kbit/s of upload per connected player, so 3.6 Mbit/s with 24 players online and about 408 GB a month if 35% of that cap is online on average. Source 4 states bandwidth is 'roughly 50-150 KB/s per player, so a 100-player server peaks around 15-30 Mbps plus overhead'. Those two figures in the same source are inconsistent with each other (50-150 KB/s per player times 100 players would be 40-120 Mbps, not 15-30 Mbps), so 150 kbps per player is used as a defensible reconciled middle value, closer to the per-server total figure; treat as upload from the server.
For 24 players, VPS Starter fits the load and VDS FusionCore leaves room to grow. Every plan includes DDoS protection: 17 Tbps of upstream mitigation plus Clouduxe Prism on the server.
Sized for 24 players, with DDoS protection included. Or talk to us about a bigger server.
