Without the CDN
Every joining player downloads every file from your server's own upload.
Players download your resources from the edge, not from your server's upload. Your server sends each file once; restarts and busy evenings stop costing you bandwidth and CPU.
Every joining player downloads every file from your server's own upload.
Our fill node pulls each file from your server once, and players download from Cloudflare's edge.
A diagram of where the bytes come from, not a measurement.
Your server hands the player its usual list of resource files, pointed at your private CDN address instead of your own port.
The file list goes to the player, pointed at the CDN
A file nobody has asked for yet is fetched from your server one time by our fill nodes and stored. Twenty players arriving together still cost you one upload, not twenty.
One pull from your server for each file
After that, players download from the Cloudflare location nearest them. Your server's upload and CPU go back to running the game.
Later downloads come from the edge
Files are cached per version of each resource, so an updated resource is simply a fresh copy. There is nothing to purge and no stale version to chase.
A new version is a fresh copy, pulled once
A restart sends every player back through the download phase at the same moment. That crowd hits the CDN instead of your server.
Only our own fill nodes fetch files from your server, so nothing in your firewall has to be opened to a public network.
Each server gets its own private base URL, so a resource named like everyone else's, chat or qb-core, never collides with another server's copy.
Remove the lines from server.cfg and restart, and you are back to serving downloads yourself.
The panel shows how many files are stored, how many requests the edge answered, how much came from your server, and which resources players download most. The figures here are an example.
One view per server: what is stored, what the edge served, and what it still pulled from you.
| Resource | Files | Served |
|---|---|---|
| qb-core | 318 | 84.1 GB |
| streamed-vehicles | 1,204 | 412.7 GB |
| mlo-interiors | 806 | 221.3 GB |
| chat | 11 | 0.4 GB |

Yes. Order Asset CDN in the panel for a flat monthly price per server with unlimited downloads, prove the server is yours with one verification line, then add the CDN line to server.cfg.
The panel gives you a code to add to server.cfg as a convar. We read it from your server's public info and check it again every day, so nobody can point the CDN at a server they do not run.
No. Files are cached per version of each resource, so an updated resource is a fresh copy the CDN has not served before.
No. They get the same files, and the game still checks each one. What changes is where the bytes come from.
Tell support. Escrowed resources can leave copies a client will not accept after a restart, and clearing your cache is one action on our side. Turning the CDN off is never the fix we leave you with.
No. The Asset CDN serves your resource files to players while they join. Screenshots, phone photos, video and voice notes go to Media Storage (fxvault Media), a separate product with its own plans, including a free one: see clouduxe.com/media-storage.
FiveM, because it uses the download mechanism FiveM itself provides. Other games are not supported.
