Windows VPS in Singapore.

Windows Server 2025, 2022 and 2019 in Singapore, the nearest of our three regions to Southeast Asia, on the AMD EPYC 4584PX at up to 5.7 GHz with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage. Remote Desktop traffic passes 17 Tbps of upstream mitigation and Prism before Windows sees it, and choosing Windows adds nothing to the plan price.

Windows Server, on a machine you administer. A KVM virtual machine with full Administrator access, reached over Remote Desktop.

  • 3 versions of Windows Server

2025, 2022 and 2019, in the Standard edition. Pick 2022 or 2019 in the store's OS Image group when you order; 2025 is in the panel's reinstall list. A reinstall erases the disk. These are server editions: there is no Windows 10 or 11 image. All 47 images

  • Nothing added at checkout

The operating system has no price of its own, so a plan costs the same with Windows Server as with Linux. Licensing questions about your own use go to sales. Email sales

  • Install what you need

You are Administrator on your own virtual machine: install software with winget or its own installer, and Windows roles such as IIS with Install-WindowsFeature.

  • A console for when Remote Desktop will not answer

The console is a screen attached to the machine, so it still works when Windows Firewall or Remote Desktop is what went wrong. Console access

Who Singapore serves. 13 cities across Asia-Pacific, each with its distance to Singapore and to Mumbai.

  • All 13 are nearer Singapore than Mumbai or Limburg

Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines, all a short hop across the region. It is also the nearest of the three to Australia and East Asia. The table runs from Kuala Lumpur, 308 km from Singapore, to Auckland at 8,418 km.

  • A physical floor, not a promise

Each distance is great-circle, city centre to city centre. The floor is that distance there and back at 200,000 km/s, the speed of light in fibre: no connection can be faster, and real routes are longer. It is a physical floor, not a measured or promised ping.

  • Choose by who connects

For a remote desktop or a trading terminal, that is you and your team; for a .NET app or a game server, your users. Users mostly in India? See the Mumbai page

Remote Desktop, checked before Windows sees it. Prism has a validator for the Remote Desktop protocol. Settings inside Windows stop the rest.

  • A rule for TCP 3389, with protocol validation on

A new server lets ports without a rule through, so Remote Desktop answers from the start. Add a rule for it anyway: rate limits and protocol checks only apply to a port that has one. Protocol validation is off on a rule you add by hand; switch it on once you can test a connection. Protocol validation

  • Block one address at the edge

Block IP on the Firewall tab drops everything from an address or range before it reaches the server. The whitelist is not an access list: it lets a source skip rate limits and behavioural filtering, and closes the port to no one. Blocking and allowing IPs

  • A stable address to scope to

Scoping Remote Desktop to your own address needs an address that does not change, such as a VPN you run on another server. VPN and remote desktop

Before it reaches Windows

  1. Upstream mitigationUpstream

Drops floods too big for the link.

17 Tbps of mitigation capacity, the same on every plan.

  2. Layer 3, the addressPrism

Drops blocked sources and malformed packets, at the lowest possible cost.

Block IP on the Firewall tab adds an address or range to the blocked sources, with an optional expiry.

  3. Layer 4, the transportPrism

Drops spoofed and stateless floods, and traffic above the ceilings on your port rules.

On a TCP rule, the TCP fingerprint engine also drops SYNs whose TCP stack fingerprint looks forged.

  4. Layer 7, Remote DesktopPrism, on your rule

Drops traffic on the port that does not speak the Remote Desktop protocol.

Off on a rule you add by hand: switch Protocol validation (L7) on once you can test a connection.

Inside Windows, set by you

  1. Windows Firewall scopeWindows

Drops every address outside the scope you give the Remote Desktop rules.

The change with the largest effect in the hardening guide.

  2. Network Level AuthenticationWindows

Drops clients that cannot sign in before Windows builds them a session.

On by default on current Windows Server images. Check rather than assume.

  3. Account lockoutWindows

Drops password guessing past the threshold.

The guide's example locks an account for 15 minutes after 10 failures within 15 minutes.

  4. Your own admin accountWindows

Drops attempts that guess Administrator with passwords from leaked lists.

Disable or rename the built-in Administrator once your own account works, and use a long random password nothing else uses.

Your Remote Desktop session

Prism starts with the check that costs least to run, and each layer only sees what the one before it let through. The settings inside Windows come from the help center's Hardening Remote Desktop guide. The connection that carries onWhat each step drops

Your first hour on a new Windows server. Four help center guides, in the order to follow them.

  1. 1

    Connect

Download the .rdp file from Quick connect on the server's overview and sign in as Administrator with the password from your activation email. Connecting to your server

  2. 2

    Change the password, then patch

Port 3389 is scanned continuously and the attempts try Administrator first, so the emailed password goes before anything else. Then the time zone, the hostname, Windows Update, and a look at what is listening. First steps on Windows

  3. 3

    Harden Remote Desktop

Your own admin account, Network Level Authentication, a lockout policy, and the Remote Desktop rules in Windows Firewall scoped to your addresses. Keep the console open while you work: a wrong scope ends the session you are typing in. Hardening Remote Desktop, Windows Firewall

  4. 4

    Install software that stays running

winget installs in one line, the Visual C++ redistributables head off a whole class of startup failures, and a service or a startup task keeps a program running after you sign out and after a reboot. Installing software

Windows VPS questions

Locked out, or the password is lost? Console access and resetting the password are the ways back in. Licensing questions: email sales.

Is a Windows licence included in the price?

Choosing a Windows Server image adds nothing at checkout: the operating system has no price of its own, so a plan costs the same with Windows Server as with Linux. For licensing questions about how you will use Windows, email sales at contact@clouduxe.com.

Which versions of Windows Server can I install?

Windows Server 2025, 2022 and 2019, in the Standard edition. Pick 2022 or 2019 in the store's OS Image group when you order; 2025 is in the panel's reinstall list. A reinstall erases the disk. These are server editions: there is no Windows 10 or 11 image.

How much memory does a Windows VPS need?

Windows Server uses more memory for itself than a minimal Linux install, so we start Windows jobs on Mini (4 GB) rather than Nano (2 GB). A remote desktop or a trading terminal starts there, a .NET app with its database on Starter (6 GB), and a game server on whatever the calculator gives for its game and player count.

Is Remote Desktop protected from DDoS attacks?

Yes, like every port. Traffic passes 17 Tbps of upstream mitigation capacity, then Clouduxe Prism on the host, which has a validator for the Remote Desktop protocol. Protocol validation is off on a rule you add by hand: add a rule for TCP 3389 and switch it on once you can test a connection. Real sign-in attempts do speak the protocol, so harden Remote Desktop inside Windows as well.

Can I run a game server on a Windows VPS?

Yes. Size it by game and player count with the calculator on this page: FiveM with 48 players starts on FusionCore. Open the game's ports in both places, a Windows Firewall rule on the server and a port rule in the panel, so the port's rate limits and protocol checks apply. The help center also recommends the Visual C++ redistributables on any server that runs a game server.

Should I move Remote Desktop off port 3389?

It makes your logs quieter, not your server safer: a scan of every port finds the new one in seconds. If you move it, add a panel rule for the new port, or its rate limits and protocol checks do not apply, and keep the password, Network Level Authentication, lockout and address scope doing the real work.

Is Singapore a good fit for users in Australia?

Of the three regions it is the nearest to Perth, Melbourne and Sydney: 3,914 km, 6,063 km and 6,307 km from Singapore, against 7,290 km, 9,821 km and 10,157 km from Mumbai. The round trip can be no shorter than 39.1 ms from Perth and 63.1 ms from Sydney. Floors are light in fibre over the great-circle distance, not measured pings: real routes are longer. There is no Clouduxe region in Australia itself.

Is Singapore a good fit for users in South Korea or Japan?

It is the nearest of the three regions, though East Asia is a long way from all of them: Seoul is 4,673 km and Tokyo 5,315 km from Singapore, against 5,596 km and 6,725 km from Mumbai. The round trip can be no shorter than 46.7 ms from Seoul and 53.2 ms from Tokyo. Floors are light in fibre over the great-circle distance, not measured pings: real routes are longer.

Pick a size, then Windows Server at checkout.

The image adds nothing to the plan price, and every plan has 17 Tbps of upstream mitigation, Prism on the host and the 99.99% SLA. The Deploy buttons on this page order in Singapore.
